Some saints weren't very holy.
At least, not at first. We hear a lot about saints who led such holy lives, we can barely hope to imitate their heroic virtue.
Then there are the other saints.
These are the ones who led worldly lives, or even worse, committed adultery, murder, or other crimes of passion. But they eventually responded to God's prompting of grace and repented. These “sinners to saints” grew so much in virtue and holiness, the Church recognizes them today as saints.
Sainthood is attainable for real people. Read these real-life examples of others who made the journey in spite of their own willfulness. Father Henry Sseriiso tells their stories in short, conversational biographies which capture their personalities. Father Sseriiso is also the author of The Patron Saints of Forgiveness.
Once a Sinner, Now a Saint carries an Imprimatur and Nihil Obstat.
