It has been said that God never asks of us anything that He does not give. What is it that God asks of us, and what does He give? Love.
Love one another as I have loved you.
The key to journey into prayer is love—God is Love—and the underlying theme of Prayer: A Personal Relationship with God is our relationship with God in Christ. It is on this personal relationship with Jesus that the happiness and the purposefulness of life depends. It is also on the basis of this relationship to Christ that our eternal destiny will be decided.
Prayer is divided into two parts. The first part will study Jesus’ life as the foundation for the Christian life of prayer. The second part will be dedicated to the four forms of prayer: Lectio Divina, contemplative prayer, Liturgy of the Hours, and the Holy Mass, which are all echoes and imitation of Jesus’ way of praying. These Four Forms are going to be presented as means, expressions, and nourishments of our individual and communal relationship with God.
“Elegant in style, captivating in content, profound in its theology, and exciting in its originality. The logic of its arguments is compelling and its language lucid and intelligible. Every chapter communicates new insights and reflects astonishing wisdom.”
