The hidden power of ordinary life
Though hidden, God is a loving Father who follows every act we do in our lives with utmost interest. By human standards, few acts are important and impactful. Most, however, are ordinary, prosaic, monotonous, and even boring. Yet, these acts have potential greatness and significance for eternal life.
Father Portavella shares how to transform ordinary actions into an offering to God, our secluded Father. His vast experience in spiritual direction comes through in this book, providing practical and key ways for those from all walks of life to achieve union with God in life’s ordinary circumstances.
FR. JOHN PORTAVELLA earned a doctorate in Canon Law from the University of Santo Tomas (Angelicum) in Rome. He was ordained in 1959 for the Opus Dei Prelature. He is currently doing pastoral work at the University of Asia and the Pacific, in Pasig City, Metro Manila.
